COSPLAY HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

ok i know that ive been putting up kinda alot of journals lately but right now i really need help with something.
ok so im trying to make izanagi's finger tips [link]

sorry about the image being alittle blury but it was the best pic i could find of his hands.

so i know that craft foam definetly doesnt work.
and right now im trying to mold it from clay but it isnt coming out nicely.
i just kinda suck at working with clay, and its hard to get it smooth when its going around your finger.
soooo if you guys have any ideas on how to make them, i would realllllllly like to know :3

I think you could still use craftfoam for it, might take a lil experimenting with paper to get the shape right though. Try taking a piece and rolling it around your finger, then cut it so the bottom curls up (might need to dart it a little) and the top goes to a point :D

idk I mean we were messing around with the craftfoam a lot, I think you should still use it for the point (have it go over your finger) but use clay for the part that goes around your finger. If you need help sculpting I can do my best, but I'm not the greatest with it either.

Maybe get those long fake nails for starters. Than put little strips of glue on it for the bumps. Paint over it. And attach it to a ring then put fabric around it?

I have no idea. XD

...that picture's kinda hot.
I'd say wonderflex since it's really easy to mold it, and then put whatever ontop of it to make the ripples. As for the finger buts... heh... no idea really, I'd say just experiment with anything^.^;;;;;

and for getting rid of the "seams" of where you can see the darts, should i use modge podge? (or how ever the hell you spell it XD)
or is there something out there that is better and cheaper?

its just that when i put the clay around my finger it made it very bulky
to a point were its not suposed to be XD
we need to have another sewing/cosplay making party

haha that was my exact thought too when i got to the nails

yeah im thinking of using wonderflex
ive been looking stuff up about it and it looks pretty reliable
